Lorna Pate brings over 20 years of experience in building and leading compliance and internal audit programs in the healthcare industry. She is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC) and healthcare privacy (CHPC) through the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). She is an expert in assessing compliance and internal control risks and prioritizing where organizations should focus their resources to address the highest risk matters.
Before joining Axia Women’s Health, she held leadership positions at prominent organizations including the Denver Health and Hospital Authority (DHHA), US Acute Care Solutions, Essence Healthcare Inc., and UPMC Health Plan.
She received a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Political Science and Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the University of Akron School of Law, and her Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree, majoring in Health Services Administration, at the University of Akron.
Lorna resides in Ohio, and has two teenage sons, and a dog named Rocky. She enjoys tennis, horseback riding, and learning new languages.
