Heather Patel is a physician assistant working in Obstetrics and Gynecology who received her undergraduate degrees from Stockton University in NJ. She then went on to attain her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She is a proud member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Heather works with the care team to provide inclusive women’s health and reproductive care to patients throughout their lifespan, beginning in adolescence. Her focus is on practicing preventative medicine by providing healthy lifestyle maintenance counseling, safe sexual practices counseling and screening, and cervical and breast cancer screenings. She is also available to treat gynecology-related conditions that may arise between annual visits. Heather is passionate about preconception counseling, natural and reproductive family planning, as well as providing obstetric care. She enjoys assisting women navigate through the menopause transition and providing post-menopausal care. Her goal with each patient is to work with them to create an individualized treatment plan that best suits their needs and beliefs by providing informative and empathetic care.
As a certified physician assistant, she prefers to be called by her first name, “Heather.” She lives in Hudson County, NJ with her loving husband. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with family.
