"I love the quote from Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg encouraging women “to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she has to do her work to the very best of her ability.” What is unique about women’s health is that it is driven by multiple factors. Many serve as primary caretaker, working professional, parent, sister, daughter, spouse, partner, and friend in addition to many other titles. Being able to address the complex array of women’s health concerns, individualize their care, provide high-quality evidence-based practice and patient education, and ultimately EMPOWER WOMEN is what motivates me as a WHNP."
Cassandra is a native of the Philadelphia Suburban area. She received both her Associate (2008) and Bachelor (2010) of Science Degrees in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy University. Cassandra’s nursing career began in long-term care and short-stay rehabilitation. She later transitioned to the in-patient setting and was the Charge RN on the Telemetry Unit at Montgomery Hospital/Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. During these experiences, Cassandra can recall finding her love and passion for patient education. It was when Cassandra transferred to the postpartum Mother-Baby/Antepartum unit at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery that she found where she belonged, which is in women’s health. Many of Cassandra’s patients often credited her taking the time just to listen and individualize their care based on their unique needs and lifestyle.
Cassandra has a strong commitment to learning. In her graduate school program at Drexel University, Cassandra was recognized as the top student in her cohort and received the Outstanding Graduate in the Nurse Practitioner Program Award. Since graduating, Cassandra continues to actively seek out any additional clinical knowledge and skills she can in hopes of promoting overall health and well-being for her patients. As an Advanced Practice Nurse, Cassandra comes to Axia with experience in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Postpartum Homecare for high-risk and underserved populations. Cassandra is enthusiastic about offering sensitive care for women despite their age, race, socioeconomic class, gender, sexual identity, or orientation.
Cassandra continues to reside in the Philadelphia suburban area with her husband and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She enjoys going for long bike rides along the Schuylkill River Trail, traveling with friends, and going on adventures. Her most recent adventures include going on a hot air balloon ride, skydiving, and exploring Italy and Greece.
