Stephen Somkuti, MD, PhD

Dr. Somkuti is a Board-Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who completed his training at Duke University and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is the Division Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. He is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences in the School of Medicine at Temple University, a Clinical Assistant Professor at Jefferson Medical College, and a visiting scientist in the Department of Biology at Lehigh University.

Dr. Somkuti has extensive experience and expertise in surgical and medical treatments of infertility, laser surgery, and IVF. His research pursuits range from understanding endometriosis and its effects on implantation, to exploring connections between fertility and the environment. Dr. Somkuti’s areas of interest and expertise include: Female and male infertility and reproductive endocrinology, IVF and ICSI, effects of the environment on reproduction, advanced laparoscopy for endometriosis, pelvic pain, recurrent miscarriage, cancer and reproduction and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis.
