Dr. DeBrakeleer is a gynecologist with more than 25 years of experience and sub-specializes in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He provides care for the full spectrum of needs associated with female pelvic health while focusing on pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pudendal neuralgia, and lichen sclerosis. Dr. DeBrakeleer is a dedicated provider who carefully listens to his patients and provides sound advice to help women regain their active lifestyles and live more comfortably.
In 2013, Dr. DeBrakeleer was one of the first urogynecologist in the U.S. to become board certified in the specialty of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. He pioneered single port surgery (a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which the surgeon operates through a single-entry point) in Southern Pennsylvania and continues to train other surgeons in this and other new surgical techniques. He currently holds the role of Chief, Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery with Einstein Health System.
Dr. DeBrakeleer uses cutting-edge minimally invasive surgery, which includes vaginal surgery, 3-D laparoscopic surgery, single port surgery, and robotic surgery. He also treats Overactive Bladder with the most current techniques, including bladder Botox injections and nerve stimulators.
Dr. DeBrakeleer earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Hahnemann University Hospital where he was able to train with nationally recognized urogynecologists and urologists. Dr. DeBrakeleer is available for consultations at his offices in Lansdale, Blue Bell, Pottstown, and Langhorne. He is skilled at building close relationships with his patients and takes the time to listen to each patient’s health concerns and personalize treatment to their unique needs.
