Michael Amerstein

Chief Operating Officer

Michael leads national operations across Axia Women’s Health. In this role, he is responsible for guiding and growing operational service lines, and creating value to physicians and care centers through data-led best practices. Michael has over 10 years of experience in physician practice management, holding leadership roles spanning from operational strategy, primary care M&A, and pediatric subspecialties at nationally recognized academic health systems. Most recently, he served as the Administrator, Department of Pediatrics at Nemours, a nationally-ranked, non-profit children’s health system, where he oversaw market expansion strategies throughout the MidAtlantic region.

Michael earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Temple University and his Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. He is originally from New Jersey and now lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing the role of chauffer and financier to his teenage children, and is a passionate Ohio State and Philadelphia sports fan.
