Dr. Margaret S. Carrasco Arias grew up in New York City. She attended Stanford University for her undergraduate degree, where she graduated with a major in Human Biology and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She obtained her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City and her master’s in public health from Columbia University.
Dr. Arias completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California San Francisco, where she received multiple awards for clinical excellence. She also received awards from San Francisco General Hospital and the Society of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology (SASGOG), including the prestigious James Green Award for Clinical Excellence in her final year. She is Board Eligible in OB/GYN, and has an interest in evidence-based obstetric care and family planning.
Dr. Arias enjoys painting, yoga, and Latin dancing in her spare time. She is excited to make the area home and explore the Main Line with her husband and cat.
