Rebecca has over 10 years’ experience working with a diverse population. She has worked with children, adolescents, families, and the geriatric population as an agent of support and guidance. She has studied several modalities that includes CBT, DBT, crisis intervention, mindfulness and grounding techniques to bring healing to those in need.
Rebecca has experience as a behavioral health counselor working with adult patients with mental illness, conducting group psychotherapy with voluntary and involuntary psychiatric patients. She has additional expertise as a medical social worker in the acute care hospital, adult medical day care and nursing home setting. Rebecca has provided therapeutic services to youth with behavioral health needs that are designed to help youth stabilize their home environment. Therapeutic services were also provided to children and youth who are returning from out-of-home care or psychiatric hospitalization and require intensive community-based services or are at imminent risk of placement due to mental health issues, emotional disturbance, or substance abuse. All treatment, care and support services must be provided in a context that is child-centered, family-focused, strength-based, culturally competent and responsive to each child’s psychosocial, developmental, and treatment care needs.
Rebecca has been recognized by family members and administration for her dedication and passion to helping others. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing tennis and going to the movies.
