Kannika “Nika” Osborne completed her medical training through Thomas Jefferson University’s Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program in
Philadelphia. After graduating and becoming board-certified, Nika joined Dr. Ryan Sobel at the Jefferson Vulvovaginal Health Center where she was specially trained in Vulvovaginitis, a field which treats chronic pain, dermatoses, recurrent disease and dyspareunia. With the addition of Dr. Paul Nyirjesy and his team, they formed the Vulvovaginal Health Center and she spent a total of 5 years working in this subspecialty in addition to general gynecology.
After pregnancy complications led to the extremely premature birth of her baby at just 26 weeks, she made the difficult decision to leave her practice to care for her baby throughout a prolonged NICU stay. Following this, she began working per diem at Abington Hospital where she continues to work in postpartum and labor and delivery triage. She has 5 years of prior experience as a labor and delivery and postpartum nurse at Einstein Montgomery, which is how she met her current team Center for Total Women’s Health.
In her spare time, Kannika enjoys spending time with her two little girls Isla and Lily and her husband. She loves to travel, create art, write and spend time outdoors.
