Vivian Tyler, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia, dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families through a range of emotional and relational challenges. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach that considers the full context of a person’s life—mind, body, relationships, culture, spirituality, and sexuality. Vivian believes in creating a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences with compassion and begin to heal from the effects of stress, trauma, and disconnection.
Vivian’s clinical orientation is rooted in Intergenerational Family Systems Theory, helping clients uncover inherited emotional patterns and relational dynamics that may impact their present lives. She is deeply committed to sociocultural attunement and practices with cultural humility, recognizing how race, gender, class, religion, and other aspects of identity shape each person’s lived experience. Vivian thoughtfully considers how power, privilege, and systemic oppression influence not only the challenges her clients face but also the resilience they carry.
Through collaborative exploration, she supports clients in gaining insight, setting boundaries, and cultivating more authentic relationships. Outside of her work, Vivian values creativity, movement, and time spent with loved ones.
