Dr. Catherine Yu spent her childhood in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois with a major in Biology and a minor in Chinese. She received her medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Yu then stayed in Pennsylvania to complete her residency at Tower Health Reading Hospital. Through her training she was able to gain robust experience in high-risk labor and delivery, management of abnormal uterine bleeding, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including robotic surgical techniques. She is excited to further these skills as she transitions her career to New Jersey and develops meaningful relationships with her patients.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to explore new places and cuisines. In addition, she enjoys completing knitting projects for friends and family.
