Over the last year, we have been working hard to reach an agreement with UnitedHealthcare to protect your in-network access to care. Unfortunately, United Healthcare has continued to prioritize their profits over your access to affordable, convenient, and high-quality care from your trusted Axia Women’s Health provider.
Their refusal to reach an agreement means that as of April 1, 2024, Axia Women’s Health providers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania will be removed from their network.
We will do everything possible to support you in applying for Continuity Of Care, if eligible, to help alleviate the burden of navigating UnitedHealthcare’s process. Please note that the decision of whether your care continues at in-network rates will be at the sole discretion of UnitedHealthcare.
We will continue to advocate for you, and we remain ready to engage with UnitedHealthcare in the future. Please see below for important actions you can take now – including contacting UnitedHealthcare, applying for Continuity of Care, or exploring alternate insurance plans. Get The FactsWe encourage you to express your concerns to United Healthcare by calling the number on the back of your healthcare ID card or contacting them on social media.
By expressing your concerns and making your voice heard, we are hopeful your perspective can help us reach a new agreement. If you have employer-provided insurance, we encourage you to express your concern to your employee benefits manager.
If you are currently pregnant, federal law mandates continued in-network coverage through the duration of your pregnancy and through your post-partum visit. We will assist you in completing the required Continuity of Care paperwork if you have not already done so. Forms must be submitted to UnitedHealthcare by April 30.
If you are currently receiving Behavior Health services through our partner LinqCare, coverage for these services will continue at in-network rates and your care will continue uninterrupted. You do not need to complete a Continuity of Care form for this service.
If you have an upcoming non-elective surgery scheduled, or are actively receiving treatment or post-surgical care, we will assist you in applying for Continuity of Care formally from UnitedHealthcare, if you have not done so already. Most post-surgical follow-ups for procedures completed before 3/31 should be covered under in-network benefits. Forms must be submitted to UnitedHealthcare by April 30.
Copies of United Healthcare’s Continuity of Care form are available below. Please note there are four different forms based on your insurance policy. We encourage you to come into the care center so that we may assist you in filling out the form correctly and faxing it to United Healthcare’s Continuity of Care on your behalf.
