Dr. Tara Abella has a passion for women’s health care and enjoys providing personal and complete care to female patients of all ages as they progress from adolescence through the post-menopausal years. She has superb skills in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology, including non-invasive and laparoscopic surgery. She is committed to excellence by addressing each patient’s individual needs and concerns. Dr. Abella earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and her MD degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine. After graduating from medical school, she went on to complete an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. She is a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist.
In her free time, Dr. Abella is an avid reader and enjoys seeing movies and traveling with her husband, Adam. She was born in New York, and after growing up in the Los Angeles area, she returned to her East Coast roots over a decade ago. Dr. Abella, her husband and their children reside in Essex County, New Jersey.
