While it has been my true pleasure to serve this community since 1992, I am writing to let you know that I shall be retiring from the practice of medicine as of February 28, 2023. I appreciate your loyalty throughout the past 30 years, and it has been both an honor and privilege to have played an important role in you and your family’s health. I will take many great memories with me into retirement. Dr. Anthopoulos, (“Dr. A” to many patients) was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. A 1980 graduate of Harriton High School in Rosemont, PA, he attended Haverford College where he majored in biology. Dr. Anthopoulos obtained his medical degree in 1988 from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA and went on to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1992 at the Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, PA. He has been in private practice within the Main Line Health System since 1992 and is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In addition to providing a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynecologic services for his patients, including the care of both low and high risk pregnancies, Dr. Anthopoulos also has particular interests in performing minimally invasive surgery, office surgery, and in treating fertility disorders. He is fluent in both Greek and French. Outside of medicine, Dr. A is a soccer fan and is a season ticket holder with the Philadelphia Union. He also enjoys travel with his family, to Europe and the Caribbean.
