After receiving a BS in Microbiology from Indiana University, Dr. Smidt pursued a medical degree from Indiana University’s School of Medicine, and then completed her residency at Indiana University/Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She is currently accepting new gynecology patients at our South location. Dr. Smidt is a current member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), and the Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA). Her awards include a President’s Award from the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons in 2001. In her leisure time, Dr. Smidt loves to bike, cook, and read. She is married with three sons.
