Katherine Manion headshot - Axia Women's Health

"As a 10-year Army Veteran, I understand what it means to serve. I have found my calling as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, where I strive to provide evidence-based care that is compassionate and comprehensive."

Katherine Manion, WHNP-BC, IBCLC

Specialties: Obstetrics, Gynecology

Kate’s background includes 10 years as a Combat Medic in the United States Army, where she was deployed to numerous locations including Iraq and Afghanistan. While serving in Iraq in the Baghdad Emergency Room, her love for nursing grew.

Kate received her undergraduate degree at Drexel University and landed her first job as a Labor and Delivery/Postpartum nurse at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She then transitioned to Hahnemann Hospital Labor and Delivery where she served as a Charge Nurse and a member of the Lactation team. Finally, her bedside nursing position was at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Staff nurse in the Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit. Here, Kare supported women and family members during complicated and specialized deliveries of infants requiring emergent surgeries and procedures.

Despite setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, she graduated in 2020 from Drexel as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with honors. Kate’s recent experience as WHNP includes providing comprehensive and evidence based OBGYN care of a woman throughout her lifecycle.

Kate currently lives in Chester County with her husband and son. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends and riding her Peloton.
