My name is Dr. Angela Trent, DNP, PMHNP-BC. I am a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s emotional and psychological challenges. For the past five years, I have practiced at the advanced level, providing comprehensive, thoughtful mental health care grounded in both clinical expertise and deep compassion.

My work is centered on caring for the whole person—mind, body, and lived experience—across the lifespan, with a special sensitivity to the unique mental health needs women face during different life stages. Through careful evaluation, diagnosis, and collaborative care planning, I partner with each patient to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their values, goals, and circumstances. I utilize evidence-based approaches that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and integrative treatment options, always with the aim of restoring balance, resilience, and daily functioning.

I have extensive experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety and depressive disorders, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), bipolar and psychotic disorders, ADHD, sleep disorders, substance use disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and personality disorders. I am especially passionate about supporting women navigating hormonal transitions, chronic stress, caregiving demands, and the emotional impact of reproductive and life changes.

My clinical philosophy is rooted in holistic, patient-centered care that honors cultural background, personal beliefs, and the interconnectedness of emotional and physical health. I believe healing begins in a space of trust, empathy, and collaboration. My goal is to walk alongside each patient, offering guidance, education, and evidence-based care that empowers them to feel heard, supported, and capable of thriving.
