What kind of device will support the technology?
Any smartphone, tablet, or PC device with microphone and camera will work. Blackberry is not supported.
Can I request to see the provider of my choice through AxiaConnect?
Patients can request the provider of their choice; however, it is possible that the provider of your choice may not be available. Speak with you care center to discuss availability.
How do I pay my copay remotely?
If your insurance plan requires a co-pay for telemedicine visits, your AxiaConnect RSVP email (sent via SecureVideo) will allow you to pay the amount online via debit/credit card. This payment will be required to start your session. If it is unknown if your plan requires a co-pay, the visit will be billed and a co-pay invoice will be sent to you after your virtual visit.
How to submit paperwork ahead of time online?
Your appointment confirmation (sent in the form of a calendar invite) email will provide the opportunity for you to electronically sign your telemedicine visit consent form. No paperwork or scans are necessary.
How do I share copies of insurance card and driver’s license?
We will already have this for established patients. New patients will be walked through how to handle this upon scheduling their appointments.
Are there privacy concerns I should be aware of regarding the use of Zoom for my appointment?
Axia Women’s Health takes the privacy of our patient data seriously. AxiaConnect uses the SecureVideo Telehealth platform which, through its unique integration with Zoom, acts as a HIPAA-complaint overlay and does not use Zoom to store any personal health information. Patients are scheduled inside the SecureVideo platform on the practice side, and a unique, random meeting is then generated in Zoom for the telehealth visit to help ensure privacy.
