Dr. Desmond is an obstetrician and gynecologist passionate about serving and uplifting women. She was born and raised in Queens, NY and is a proud graduate of the New York City public school system. She attended medical school at SUNY Downstate before moving to Philadelphia, a region she has since fallen in love with. She began her training in OB/GYN at Crozer Chester Medical Center where she went on to become Chief Resident of academics. She then transferred to the Pennsylvania Hospital where she completed her training.
Dr. Desmond has particular interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and in gender-affirming care. Outside of medicine she enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking global cuisines, and exploring national parks and the great outdoors.
