Terry received her Diploma in Nursing with honors at Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors at La Salle University. She completed her Master of Science of Nursing in the Health Care, Nurse Practitioner Program at Drexel University.

Terry is married with two children and lives in Cherry Hill.
