Behavioral Health Support
Julie Verona, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse
Practitioner licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania who brings more than two decades of
nursing experience to her work in mental health care. After spending over 20 years as a labor
and delivery nurse, Julie developed a profound understanding of women’s health and the
emotional complexities that accompany some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative
experiences. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and combines her extensive clinical
background with a compassionate, trauma-informed, and patient-centered approach to
psychiatric care. Julie has a special passion for supporting perinatal behavioral health, women’s
mental health concerns, and LGBTQ+ issues. She is committed to providing a gender affirming,
inclusive environment where every client not only feels seen, heard, respected, but also
empowered. Her approach is holistic and collaborative, addressing the whole person—mind,
body, and spirit—while exploring the underlying factors that contribute to their emotional
distress. With an emphasis on lifestyle medicine, Julie incorporates practices such as movement,
journaling, meditation, nutrition, and other sustainable wellness strategies alongside evidence based mental health care. Above all, she partners with each client to build resilience, strengthen
overall well-being, with the goal being to help them move beyond simply managing symptoms
toward living a healthier, more fulfilling life
