Behavioral Health Support
Anne was born in New Orleans, where she studied classical vocal music in high school. She attended Williams College in Massachusetts, where she majored in psychology and remained active in music and student theatre. She became involved in the student-led Peer Health group on campus, which is where her interest in women’s health began. After college, she moved to San Diego, where she did psychology research with children and teens before having her first child, sparking her interest midwifery.
She moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2007 as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She has worked as a midwife in and around the greater Philadelphia area since, both in and out of hospital. Anne remained interested in mental health while working as a midwife. After having many women come through her office with mental health concerns that she was poorly equipped to manage, she decided to go back to school for psychiatry. She became a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2023.
Anne lives in the Philadelphia area and enjoys traveling, hiking, and baking. She loves animals, has fostered several sets of orphaned kittens, and has two cats and a dog of her own.
