Kate’s background includes 10 years as a Combat Medic in the United States Army, where she was deployed to numerous locations including Iraq and Afghanistan. While serving in Iraq in the Baghdad Emergency Room, her love for nursing grew.
Kate received her undergraduate degree at Drexel University and landed her first job as a Labor and Delivery/Postpartum nurse at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She then transitioned to Hahnemann Hospital Labor and Delivery where she served as a Charge Nurse and a member of the Lactation team. Finally, her bedside nursing position was at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Staff nurse in the Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit. Despite setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, she graduated in 2020 from Drexel as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with honors. Kate’s recent experience as WHNP includes providing comprehensive and evidence based OBGYN care of a woman throughout her lifecycle.
Kate currently lives in Chester County with her husband and son. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends and riding her Peloton.
