Obstetrics, Gynecology
Dr. McLatchy (Dr. ‘J’) holds undergraduate degrees in biology and women/gender studies from Rochester Institute of Technology and earned her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Northwell Health in NYC and Long Island. Her special areas of expertise include complex family planning, contraception management, gender affirming care, adolescent gynecology, minimally invasive surgery and high risk obstetrics.
By far her favorite and most time consuming hobby are her two young children; however, she can also be found running, cycling, binging reality tv, tailgating in Happy Valley, cheering rink side or trying a new restaurant. At work, her coordinated scrub and sneaker sets, multicolored signature diagrams and diet soda habit are hard to miss. Dr. McLatchy is a passionate advocate for reproductive healthcare. She believes that education about and access to safe, voluntary healthcare is a human right that is central to gender equality, reducing poverty and improving communities.
Dr. McLatchy has previously served an administrative role as Perinatal Chair; helped her community as lead physician with multiple nonprofit critical access facilities; aided survivors as director of the sexual assault response team; and trained future doctors as a clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology. She is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has won multiple teaching and research awards. She enjoys privileges at Chester County Hospital and Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Lankenau Medical Center, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital.
