Lauren Butler was born and raised in South Jersey. After graduating from the University of Delaware with her Bachelor of Science in nursing, she was a nurse in labor and delivery at Virtua in Voorhees for six years. While at Virtua, Lauren taught childbirth education classes including Labor Basics and Multiples classes. She has been certified as an Inpatient Obstetric Nurse by the National Certification Corporation since 2008. In April 2011, Lauren was honored to receive the Virtua Health Nurse of the Year Nurse Scholar Award.
Because of her passion for women’s health and childbirth, Lauren decided to advance her profession by becoming a nurse midwife. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing in June 2012. She is board-certified as a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board. Lauren is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Nursing Honor Society. She has certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and newborn resuscitation.
Lauren resides in Sewell with her husband, Shaun, and their daughters, Alayna and Emery. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with family and friends.
