Kayla Walker APRN, graduated from Midway University in 2013 with a degree in nursing. She then worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 8 years which sparked her love and passion for women’s health. She pursued her education at University of Cumberland’s where she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing in 2020, and has been working as a nurse practitioner in women’s health. She also holds her license as a sexual assault nurse examiner helping a local non-profit organization. With almost 14 years of combined obstetric and gynecologic women’s healthcare, she has dedicated her career to caring for women through some of life’s most significant and complex healthcare experiences.
Kayla is passionate about providing trauma informed care, patient education, and counseling individuals through complex healthcare decisions. One of her biggest strengths is that she is incredibly empathetic and that ability helps to quickly establish trust with patients, as well as long lasting connections. Throughout her career, she has been particularly drawn to caring for vulnerable patients; helping them navigate uncertainty, and ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey. Kayla currently lives in Versailles with her husband Kagan and their fur-baby, Penny. Outside of the office, you will find her spending time with family and friends, enjoying live music, strength training, cooking and hosting, and traveling!
