Monish Merchant, MD, is a board-certified interventional radiologist with advanced training in the minimally invasive treatment of uterine fibroids and other women’s health conditions. 

At Center for Fibroid Care, Dr. Merchant specializes in uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) and related image-guided therapies that relieve symptoms, preserve the uterus, and offer patients effective alternatives to surgery. 

Dr. Merchant earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, also in Chicago. He completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, where he received specialized training in complex vascular and women’s health procedures. He is committed to helping women understand their diagnosis and treatment options, particularly when managing uterine fibroids. He takes a patient-centered approach, emphasizing education, image-guided care, and individualized treatment planning. Dr. Merchant welcomes new patients to the Center for Fibroid Care.
