John Vaclavik, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN on the team at Ocean OB/GYN in Ocean and Howell, New Jersey. He has advanced training in minimally invasive, in-office surgical procedures with a special interest in robotic surgery.
Dr. Vaclavik graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore in 1999 with a bachelor of science in biology, and earned his medical degree in 2004 from St. George’s University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency in 2008 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, and immediately entered into private practice at Ocean OB/GYN.
Dr. Vaclavik is highly regarded in the medical community. He has published numerous research articles, including “Effects on Multiple Courses of Antenatal Steroids on Neonates of Multiple Gestations,” “Maternal-Fetal Survival Following an Amnionic Fluid Embolism,” and “Birthing Made Better with Push Straps.”
Dr. Vaclavik is very active in his field and is currently the director of research for gynecologic robotic surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. He’s also a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He served as the secretary of the New Jersey Laborist Group at Monmouth from 2009 to 2011.
Outside of work, Dr. Vaclavik likes to fish, read, and spend time with his family.
