Dr. Barakat grew up in Miami, Flordia. She attended the Univeristy of Miami for both her undergraduate studies and for medical school. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Christina Care Health System in Newark, Delaware. After completing her residency, Dr. Barakat spent a few years working in a private practice in Maryland, before settling in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Barakat is married and has two young boys that keep her busy outside of work. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
