Dr. Raav was born and raised in the mid-west so it was a natural fit when she attended Medical School in Chicago and continued on with her Residency in Detroit. During her training, she was exposed to many hi-risk pregnancies including twins, gestational diabetics and VBAC deliveries which have shaped her into a calm, empathetic obstetrician, committed to supporting her patients’ pregnancy goals which include achieving the best birth experience they can. She is a thorough practitioner keeping current on all aspects of maternity testing including genetic testing, NIPT, ultrasound management, and vaccines.

Dr. Raav is passionate about preventative care for women of all ages. She is an avid supporter of yearly screenings for the prevention and detection of breast and pelvic cancer. Her scope of care includes adolescence and adult gynecology and family planning thru menopause and geriatric gynecology. She is keenly interested in preconception counseling and is well skilled at contraception management in particular LARC options such as IUDs and Nexplanon.

Dr. Raav is a skilled surgeon offering all minimally invasive options including endometrial ablations, hysteroscopy, and laparoscopy.
