Brian Rogers, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ocean OB/GYN in Ocean and Howell, New Jersey.
Dr. Rogers graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 1990. He earned his medical degree in 1994 from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.
He completed his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, where he focused on advanced evaluations and surgical correction of female incontinence and pelvic prolapse. He’s also undergone advanced training in laparoscopic and robotically assisted laparoscopic surgeries, and minimally invasive surgery to treat pelvic prolapse.
Dr. Rogers served active duty in the U.S. Air Force between 1998 and 2001 while working at the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Hospital at the Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. There, he served as a staff physician and chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1998 to 2000. He returned to Monmouth County, New Jersey, in 2001 to join a private practice.
Dr. Rogers has always been at the forefront of new surgical techniques. In 2001, he was the first surgeon to perform a highly successful mid-urethral sling for female incontinence at New Jersey’s Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, and the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. He is now a national instructor for this operation. He also performed the first-ever robotic surgery in the New Jersey Meridian Health System in 2010.
Dr. Rogers is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has been a fellow since 2001. He served as the president of the New Jersey Laborist Group at Monmouth Medical Center from 2006 to 2011. He is currently a robotic surgeon at Monmouth Medical Center and the director of gynecologic robotic surgery at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
