Allison Shirker, MD, attended undergraduate school at Juniata College in 1993 and completed medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in 1997. She completed her residency at York Hospital in 2001 and is board certified, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has taught students and residents at Phoenixville Hospital and has won a CCA teaching award. Dr. Shirker finds her career extremely rewarding, especially being able to take care of women through all times in their life, from adolescence to menopause. She also loves the variety of skills her profession requires.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Shirker enjoys staying active with her husband, three boys, and two dogs. She is active in her church and loves singing, reading, and cheering on her children in their sporting events.
