Sarah N. Smith, M.D. was born and raised in Lexington, KY. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2016 and earned her Doctor of Medicine Degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2021. She completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Smith is passionate about caring for women throughout all phases of their lives. She enjoys getting to know her patients and building long-term trusting relationships. In addition to providing general obstetrics and gynecologic care, she has special interests in contraception, sexual health, treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, management of abnormal pap smears, vulvovaginal dysplasia, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Smith is committed to creating a safe space for her patients, leading with compassion and empathy while providing evidence based medical care.
In her spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her family, singing in her church choir, traveling with friends, and exploring new restaurants. She is grateful for the opportunity to be back home in Lexington, caring for a community that raised her.
