Axia Women’s Health Opens State-of-the-Art Mammography Center in East Brunswick, Aims to Improve Early Detection of Breast Cancer

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ, May 13, 2019 – Axia Women’s Health is pleased to announce the opening of its fourth Center for Breast Health, located at 620 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick. The new Center for Breast Health offers 3D mammography services in a comfortable, patient-centered environment, to facilitate the early detection of breast cancer in the northern New Jersey community.

“We know that early detection is the best defense against breast cancer and are pleased to broaden access to 3D mammography services that support our philosophy of preventive care,” shares Liz Rodriguez, Chief Operating Officer with Axia Women’s Health. “Studies have shown that early detection through mammography not only increases positive outcomes but can also lead to less invasive treatment when cancer is discovered in its earliest stages.”

The Center for Breast Health’s 3D mammography technology, also known as Tomosynthesis, offers enhanced imaging to allow clinicians to analyze breast tissue in greater detail.  The Center is also announcing speedier results, with a radiologist scheduled to review and provide imaging results to physicians within 24 hours.

The Center for Breast Health is opening its doors to patients on May 22. Currently, the center is accepting mammogram appointments for patients of Axia Women’s Health OB/GYN care centers. Appointments can be made through a patient’s local Axia scheduling line, creating a seamless continuum of care with their OB/GYN provider. An open house for referring providers will be offered on Wednesday, May 29, from 3pm – 7pm.
