Axia Women’s Health Announces Multi-Year Partnerships With Payors In New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Partnerships With Cigna Healthcare And Horizon Ensure Access To High-Quality, Personalized Healthcare For Women Across New Jersey and Pennsylvania

VOORHEES, N.J., March 11, 2025 — Axia Women’s Health (Axia), a leader in integrated women’s healthcare, announced today it has reached new multi-year agreements with Cigna Healthcare (Cigna) and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon). These partnerships reinforce Axia’s commitment to improving access to high-quality, comprehensive women’s health services across the state.

Every year, Axia cares for approximately 600,000 patients across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The renewed contracts ensure patients can continue to receive care from their trusted Axia providers, while benefitting from the network’s integrated offerings including obstetrics and gynecology, maternal-fetal-medicine, fertility, behavioral health, in-house lab, mammography, and in-office surgical procedures.

“We are pleased to have reached fair and equitable agreements with Cigna Healthcare and Horizon and greatly appreciate their commitment to supporting continued growth and investment in integrated care for women. These deals reflect the quality, outcomes and value we bring to their networks, and most importantly, ensure that our patients will continue to receive uninterrupted care,” shares Thomas Dardarian, DO, FACOOG, FACOG, Chief Medical Officer at Axia Women’s Health.

As part of its partnership with Horizon, Axia collaboratively provided input into Horizon’s next-generation alternative payment model for specialty care, launched in 2025. The Specialty Payment Program ties physician reimbursement to key quality metrics in maternal health such as C-section and postpartum visit rates, preventive screenings such as breast and cervical cancer screenings, and timely access to care.

Axia Women’s Health is a recognized leader in quality outcomes with C-section and preterm birth rates that are nearly half the state average, and an industry-leading patient satisfaction score.

Axia is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality care and proudly contracts with a wide range of insurance companies, while also participating in government programs of Medicare and Medicaid.

“We’ve spent decades building strong patient relationships and remain committed to supporting their health and well-being for years to come,” adds Dardarian.
